This is where it comes down to my craft. emotion. knowledge. movement. raw, real moments.
To start, I've been doing this for a long time. Weddings are newer to me; but it's also not my first rodeo. I've been capturing emotion on couples faces for over four years now. I put value on my continued education as a photographer. I've learned from "The Heart University" and I am enrolled in the "Motherphotographer" membership. These as well as many other resources have greatly shaped how I photograph today.
I care. I put care in getting to know you. Care into every shot I capture. Care into prepping you for your big day. I care about your time, energy, emotions, mental well-being; the list could go on. As my client I take a responsibility for more than just delivering beautiful, emotion packed images. I'll run around the house for you on the day of your wedding to help find the marriage license; make sure you stay hydrated, grab the bouquet of flowers during the ceremony if no maid of honor is there to do so (it's happened). I care.
This is art, and as an artist, I will do everything possible to deliver images to you that match the exact sentiment, feeling, and emotion of the day; whether that be your wedding day, engagement shoot, or maternity session. Every day has a different feeling to it; have you ever noticed? I can still remember the exact feeling I had waking up as a child on a specific Easter Sunday. The morning had a crispness to it that was unique to the day; when I look back on images from that Easter, I remember that detail. And as an artist, those details are important to me.
And lastly, in the world of iPhones, everyone can take a picture - even entry level camera's are on the rise. But don't risk the most important moments of your life to non-professionals. Not only do I use professional gear, I also use professional editing software to deliver images that are crisp and edited to the tones of the day they were taken. I will also make sure to capture artistic shots and edits to add throughout your gallery. You'll end up with an album full of beautiful moments documented as they happened through the day.
