Winter-time cuddles
I've always been a fan of engagement sessions. They're a great way to get to know your photographer prior to your wedding and the two of you will have fun taking pictures together; it’s especially helpful if it's your first time in front of a camera before your wedding! Engagement sessions also give you an opportunity to play around with outfits, poses and locations before your wedding day.
Julia and Caleb are such a sweet couple; they met while in college at PCC and have been together ever since. When I asked them where they wanted their engagement pictures taken they first suggested White Rock Lake in Dallas; so we made arrangements for a winter sunset session right after the New Year. What a great way to start 2023! These two love each other dearly and were thrilled when some ducks started swimming near us during our shoot which made for some awesome pictures together.
Engagement sessions are always extra fun in the winter.
The cold air can make your photos feel more cozy and intimate, and it's a great opportunity to get creative with your poses. The two of you might also want to bring along some warm drinks or snacks for the session so that you don't freeze during the shoot! Thankfully for Caleb an Julia's session, it was am unusually warm evening. We had the most perfect sunset glow during the majority of the engagement session.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a couple more in love than Julia and Caleb. The two met while attending Pensacola Christian College, where they both worked together at the Chick-fil-A on campus and have continued to grow as individuals together. They both love to travel and explore new places, but also value time spent at home with friends and family.
I love shooting at White Rock Lake; it is such a beautiful spot in Dallas. The light is always so perfect and you can get some amazing images on the shoreline and perfect sunset views off the dock. It comes highly recommended and you'll find it in my clint location guide!
I am so glad that Julia and Caleb trusted me to be their photographer for such an important day in their lives. I can’t wait until the wedding!
