Story time!
Ellen reached out to me for her maternity session in early February hoping to get photos taken in late April. It was planned to be a sweet baby-bump session in the outdoors with soon-to-be dad as well. We chatted a bit in the early planning stages, blocked a date off and then we didn’t chat again until early April.
There were some schedule changes, and we ended up moving the session to May 8th (Mother’s Day!) as Ellen wrapped up finals for law school (what a queen!) Ellen didn’t even realize the date until I pointed out how sweet it would be to have a maternity session on Mother’s Day. I mean, COME ON. How perfect is that? We picked out a spot on Grapevine Lake, and waited for the week of the session to arrive.
We were all in for a surprise!
On April 29, just over a week until our session, Ellen messaged me that baby was on her way, “Well, I’m having her today, lol” were her exact words. I think we were both surprised. I knew I couldn’t NOT get photos of this sweet new baby girl, so I suggested adjusting from a maternity to a newborn session.
